Bunty was very helpful with ideas on what to see and patient throughout all of the back and forth communication we needed to settle on our itinerary. Bunty even arranged for our train tickets, all at a reasonable price and with speedy responses. We were happy to feel confident that all would go as planned once we arrived in India and weren’t disappointed. Our driver, Manu, picked us up at the airport after midnight, took us to our hotel, and made sure we were properly settled before heading home. Naresh was very informative when it came time to eat and bathroom breaks. I would very much recommend Naresh in the future to anybody travelling to India. His english was very strong, and he was able to explain everything we saw on the way to Agra. Naresh was also helpful when it came to hiring a tour guide. Our group would ask Naresh if he would recommend hiring a tour guide or is this something we can observe on our own. When we were at the Taj Naresh recommended that we use a tour guide, and our group was very happy that we did. There were so many small details that one would miss if not for a tour guide. Naresh was also very informative about what to give for tip to the tour guides as well as in restaurants and people we may have took pictures with. We had just been stung by another website by finding out that the recommendations had all come from the owner of the site so it was refreshing to see independent recommendations from people all over the world. The communications we had with Bunty in organizing the Rajasthan part of our month long trip were excellent. He advised us as to the best way to organize our very limited time to see the best of Rajasthan. Our Driver Mishra ji was a better driver than we could have imagined. Mishra ji is a consummate professional. He was our driver, our historian, our interpreter, our guide, our friend and companion. A driver with 27 years experience, he immediately intuited our likes and dislikes and when he discovered we liked spicy street food would walk right into the kitchens of the places we ate and direct how we liked our food prepared! Kind regards Anna Newcastle, England annakirkup@aol.com January 2013 Bunty and Pawan made our trip one we'll remember fondly for the rest of our lives My wife, adult daughter and I traveled through India for 3 weeks this past December. We were absolutely delighted with the service provided by India Private Driver. From planning our trip to the traveling itself, we found Bunty and our driver, Pawan Kumar, to be simply spectacular. We have traveled all over the world and usually do so independently, renting cars, taking public transportation, making all the arrangements ourselves, etc. However, we suspected that India would be especially challenging, and we were right. As experienced as we are, there is no way we could have traveled as extensively throughout India, seen half as much or done it all safely without Bunty and Pawan. As we were planning our trip we emailed often and Bunty was always very helpful with suggestions. For example, as the trip approached we were having trouble getting in touch with one particular hotel. I emailed Bunty and within 24 hours had received a reply noting that he had called the hotel in question and confirmed the details of our trip. When we arrived in Delhi, Pawan was waiting for us at the airport as promised. From that moment on, we relied on him and he never let us down. Pawan was simply spectacular. India can be incredibly chaotic and confusing but we always felt comfortable that Pawan had things under control. He was always on time to pick us up each day (in fact he was always early and would be waiting for us). There seem to be very few road signs in India but even though we were going to a number of rather obscure locations, Pawan was always able to find our destination. I frankly don't know how he did it. His long years of experience traveling through India clearly paid off for us. Pawan was unfailingly pleasant and friendly. It was fun getting to know him and to learn about his life and his family. But he also gave us enough "space" to allow my wife and my daughter and I to be a family; he never was intrusive or made us feel uncomfortable. He was entirely flexible regarding our plans, would make suggestions that we could take or leave. Finally, it's critical to add that we always felt completely safe with Pawan. There is no getting around the fact that the roads in India are dangerous. Not only are they in generally very poor shape physically, but one has to contend with extremely busy traffic, vehicles of all kinds, ranging from camel-drawn carts and autorickshaws to huge trucks - all often in no discernible lane or going the wrong way. Adding to that you have cows, buffalo, pigs, dogs and myriad people crossing the road and walking along it in totally unpredictable ways. Pawan navigated all of this with calmness and competence. We felt completely safe in his hands - and that is saying something given the conditions. He didn't use excessive speed but still got us where we were going in good time. And in long hours of driving he never once seemed sleepy or tired. He was also great about stopping whenever we needed to for any reason. In summary, if you are planning a trip to India we cannot recommend India Private Driver highly enough. India is a challenging place to travel; Bunty and Pawan made our trip one we'll remember fondly for the rest of our lives. They were simply great. Immediately, upon meeting him at the airport, we could tell that it was going to be an easy trip. I was very pleased that prior to my arrival you took the initiative to contact me with information on a hotel that I had previously booked in Delhi which received a very negative review from a previous client of yours. I then changed my reservation. When we arrived at the new hotel we had a bit of a problem (I would recommend that anyone have YOU make the reservations instead of doing what I did and make them myself) but you and Mukesh intervened and all worked out well. I also followed Mukesh's advice and changed our hotel in Jodphur which was definitely the right decision. His knowledge of the layout of the city of Jodphur was important in the recommendation. Our itinerary was 10 days: Delhi to Agra, Agra to Jaipur (for 2 nights), Jaipur for Udaipur (for 2 nights) and then Ranakpur, Jodphur, Pushkar and back to Delhi. Your recommendations of the amount of time to stay in each place was totally accurate. Also, your recommendation of Rankpur instead of my original plan of Mt. Abu was correct.....the temples at Ranakpur were our favorite part of the trip. We had plenty of time to see everything in a relaxing time frame. And the guides that were provided for us, particularly the guides in Agra and Jaipur were wonderful. The stores that we visited (and purchased articles of course) were of very high quality but reasonably priced and most of all, were not "high sell" environments. But what was an added bonus was how very good a guide Mukesh was. I assumed he would be a good driver but he was so much more than that. He added so much information to our trip....from showing us how to feed wild monkeys, to encouraging us to sample special sweets and lassi in Jaipur and Jodphur to buying us even more sweets along the way. All of his recommendations of restaurants were wonderful and he always made sure that we were happy and comfortable at the restaurant before disappearing and then reappearing at exactly the right time when we finished. And his driving was amazing.....It was a wonder how he could get through all the traffic so easily and quickly without losing his patience. He approached the driving as he did everything, with good humor and professionalism. Winding through the little streets in Jodphur in particular was very impressive. And we appreciated the fact that he negotiated the time streets in the old city so that we could see the wonderful dance performance and puppet show in the museum in the evening. So, I would highly recommend your services to anyone who is looking for a driver in Northern India. You and Mukesh made it all so simple and easy. My communication with you prior to our arrival reassured me that you had everything under control and that impression was borne out once we arrived. He responded promptly telling me he would send us one of his very best driver called Amit. We spent two weeks driving through Rajasthan and with the help of Amit we experienced an awesome trip and got to learn Rajasthan from all its beautiful sides. It would take me more than a typed page to describe our Rajasthan trip but I am sure Amit showed us much more than I expected and was actually planned. We drove through mountains and hill tops, deserts, green juicy landscapes, crowded cities and beautiful villages. He organised us a guide for the Taj Mahal, a desert tent camping in Khuri, elephant rides in Amber, camel rides in Pushkar, seeing monkeys in Galtar, suggesting good restaurants for lunch or dinner, showing us all the highlights of all cities. India is a truely a fascinating country with so many contrasts and I'm glad I could show this to my kids and have seen it with my own eyes. From the moment my husband and I met Gian, we were so pleased to have someone who was an excellent driver who navigated the chaotic traffic with ease and care, who was extremely knowledgeable about the places we were visitng as well as a variety of other topics (history, politics, sport, Indian culture etc.), who was able to provide handy advice, sightseeing recommendations and restaurant suggestions in each city for us tourists and who took care to ensure we not only arrived safely in each city but knew what to see and do and ensured the hotels we had booked independently were acceptable to us. When issues arose, as they are often likely to in India, Gian went above and beyond to sort things out for us and ensure we were happy. One instance of this was when an independently pre-booked hotel in Jodhpur wouldn't send a rickshaw to meet the car or give directions to find them, Gian, who was meant to leave us at 3pm to start his long journey back to Delhi, took us to an alternate hotel (Pal Haveli) and ensured we had somewhere pleasant to stay. The Pal Haveli was full but had a room at its sister hotel, the Pal Garh which was just 8km from the city and a beautiful oasis to stay at. Gian stayed with us until well past 5pm to ensure all was in order with moving to the new hotel and drove us there himself to check we were happy to stay there. Most importantly, as well as being a professional, safe driver and knowledgeable guide, we felt Gian was instantly our friend and enjoyed long chats in the car and had dinner on our last night. Gian is so polite, considerate, genuine and has such a caring, calm and friendly personality, I think anyone would find him a pleasure to spend time with. We hope to keep in touch and recommend Gian a thousand times over for anyone planning a trip to India. He picked us up from the airport and drove us to Agra - a very difficult and challenging road, because of so many big trucks. The hotel was beautiful and breakfast was good. He took us to the Taj, and back to Delhi, on the freeway. We arrived at the airport in good time for our flights. We recommend Bunty and indiaprivatedriver very highly. We were stranded in Varanasi when we found this company online. We sent an email and got an immediate reply. A few days later, Avtar run from Delhi to Varanasi to pick us up. From there we went to Agra, Jaipur and then back to Delhi. It was an awesome and safe ride. the driver was very good and we got away without any close encounters with other cars. The hotel we booked for us in Jaipur was awesome, cheap and served good food. Hotel in Delhi was so-so, but it worked. Along for the ride was Avtar good with finding good places to eat along the way, and found nice places we could buy what we needed. When we were sick, we got good recommendations about doctors and got tips on what we should eat and drink. I'm going to India again, I would definitely take advantage of this company. Recommended! We were amazed with the ease of making this reservation. Everything was taken care of very quickly although we booked quite last-minute (10 days in advance of our arrival in India). Once we left the airport Mr. Deepak (our appointed driver) was waiting for us right on time and took us to a car with an amazingly clean interior. As far as we’re concerned there is no other way to travel in India, especially in the low season where temperatures soar to above 49 Celsius. Why choose this company above any other? From start to finish Bunty and then our driver Avtar remained professional, friendly, courteous and went out of their way to make sure our stay was as wonderful as we had hoped. Having decided to hire a car and driver for our Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan trip in May/June 2012, the arduous task of finding a reliable company began. Having trawled the internet, books and tour companies, taken numerous quotes and spoken to countless others, we chose Bunty because his friendly manner, super-quick email response, impeccable English and thoughtful suggestions re: itinerary instilled us with confidence. For weeks beforehand Bunty helped us to plan and refine our trip. Nothing was too much trouble and he always responded promptly to our queries and requests. We had a wonderful driver, Avtar, who was professional, courteous, patient, friendly and at times very amusing. Manu has to be one of the safest drivers in India. My boyfriend and I felt extremely comfortable to fall asleep in our long car rides, we were not kept up by the anxiety of Indian roads. We arrived in Delhi in the evening and needed to find the best possible way to Agra. Our driver Sud drove through the later hours of the night to ensure we were able to safely arrive in Agra to meet our accomodation deadline. The next day, we were accompanied by an experienced and professional tour guide in visiting the monuments of Agra as we were guaranteed fast entry into the amazing Taj Mahal where we were able to catch the sun setting on the amazing monument (the highlight of our trip). We continued our journey through Agra and onto Jaipur and again Sud ensured we were transported safely and with courtesy, as he was professional and took our best interests into consideration throughout. After taking us through the sites and monuments of Jaipur, Sud was able to organise an elephant ride (another highlight of our trip) before safely getting us back to Delhi well in time for our flight, later that day. Bunty was very prompt with replies and suggestions. He fully understood that our trip was to be independent in that we had a route and knew what we wished to see and do. We arranged pick up from Delhi airport on 3 November, keeping our driver for sightseeing until the airport drop on 6 November for a flight to Varanasi. He was right on time to pick us up, and we found his driving to be very smooth, safe, and comfortable, especially when compared to the craziness of Delhi traffic! We made a well timed rest/lunch stop at a rather expensive, very touristy place on the way to Agra. I suppose it would have suited the majority of your clients, but my friend and I would have preffered something less expensive, more Indian, and less touristy. We went past many dhabas which looked more like our kind of place. But this is a very minor point, and I know we only have ourselves to blame, as Kuldeep was very responsive to our other requests. We had originally planned to see Fatepur Sikri on Day Two, but Kuldeep suggested visiting on the way to Agra instead,and this turned out to be a wonderful change of plans,with everything fitting in perfectly time-wise. We decided with our limited 13 day timeline we would need a private driver to see the most in the quickest time and maintain flexibility. This was my first trip to India and I can't imagine seeing India any other way than having a private driver. I was constantly amazed at his ability to remain unfazed by the worst of India’s driving (by others). I can only recall a single short beep of the car horn on one occasion, he always remained cool and calm in all conditions. Even on the execrable roads of Shekhawati! He also has the best dry sense of humour, a boon in sometimes difficult driving conditions. He became a friend after the first few days and we looked to him to provide all the additional background and detail that is just found in any guide books. He constantly suggested additional side excursions to see extraordinary sights, temples, forts and the interesting. Nothing he suggested was a time waster. This insider info only comes from knowing and travelling the miles over many years. I particularly liked the sedate driving style, I can’t recall ever seeing the speedo showing over 80 k’s an hour! We also appreciated the fact Chamman found time to clean the car, inside and out, every morning and that room always seemed to be found for our growing assemblage of parcels and the like. Chamman also knew when we needed a few hours to quietly chill out and when we all needed to talk about all we had seen. His knowledge of exactly where and when to find a perfect pitstop for chai, snacks and a decent washroom break was uncanny. All in all, Chamman made our three week drive a perfect introduction to Rajasthan, so much so, that we have already commenced planning another more far reaching trip next year. Our driver Anil was waiting for us at the airport upon arrival, despite our flight having been delayed for an hour. A safe driver is absolutely necessary on the chaotic streets of India. In Anil's car we felt absolutely safe and had a very smooth ride in his car. Besides his impeccable driving skills, Anil went above and beyond what was necessary from answering any questions we had, to driving from 9am-3am at one point, and proved to be a great companion on the trip. For convenience, we wanted to travel with a private driver. Fortunately, I stumbled across recommendations for "Satvinder Singh (also known as Bunty Singh) who trades as India Private Driver". Thank you Bunty, we are so glad we found you! Prior to even making a booking with Bunty I felt very comfortable; he seemed very sincere, genuine and honest and eagre to deliver a high quality service to his customers. Emails were answered promptly and questions were answered clearly. Most importantly, his quoted price clearly stated inclusions (eg: A/C vehicle (specified type), driver (plus driver's allowance for accommodation and meals), border taxes, road tolls, parking and petrol). It is very important to know there are no "hidden extras"! From what I have read, Bunty is not the cheapest, but he is certainly not the most expensive either! As the saying goes "you get what you pay for"! We designed our own Itinerary and booked all accommodation separately (we wanted to stay at specific hotels). For trips starting in Delhi, Bunty doesn't require an "up front" deposit. Our trip started in Udaipur (some 700km from Delhi) so he asked us to send a deposit (one quarter of total price) 4-6 weeks before departure. We happily obliged (very easy process with Western Union) and thought this most reasonable. Immediately Bunty received the deposit he acknowledged receipt (nice to know it hadn't disappeared into the ether)! The day before our trip commenced, Amit (our driver and also Bunty's brother) phoned our Udaipur hotel to confirm he would pick us up the following morning at "x" time. What service! It also meant a restful nights sleep, knowing we would be collected, as intended, the following morning. Amit arrived punctually; actually he was early (all part of the prompt service). We were met with warm welcoming smiles and from the first hand-shake we felt confident we were in safe hands and that we were going to have a great trip. Amit was our driver for 19 days and he was a pleasure to travel with (it felt like we were travelling with a close friend rather than a "driver" / "customer" relationship). Travelling days were generally 3-4 hours but the time passed quickly as we were always engrossed in conversation. In cities where we stayed multiple days, Amit always assured us that he was available for us to call on him at any time. Amit was always punctual and the car was always spotlessly clean (there were a couple of minor mechanical issues (couldn't have been avoided) and we happily assisted Amit to ensure he got them resolved). When travelling, we are not avid shopper; Amit respected our wishes that we didn't want to visit every shopping emporium along the way. There were a couple of cities where we wanted to make specific purchases and Amit happily assisted with these transactions. We enjoyed several enjoyable meals together; though respecting Amit possibly didn't want to eat with us every single night! Just a couple more emails, and Bunty had a complete itinerary worked out that covered all the things I wanted to see, as well as some helpful suggestions about other local attractions that could be easily included. We found Bunty from the Web with many glowing client references and contacted him by email. He replied immediately and suggested an 8 day itinerary. He was very patient despite our frequently changed plans and replied promptly to all our email requests with excellent English. He was able to suggest alternative hotels when our choice was unavailable - they proved equally fantastic.  Bunty organised his colleague Kumud to drive us. He was brilliant, with his knowledge of the area second to none. He was courteous, patient and flexible, and above all his driving was safe on the manic Indian roads. Kumud collected us from the airport in a 9 seater mini bus which was very spacious and comfortable for six travellers plus luggage. We had a 'Bus Boy' at all times who looked after our possessions whilst we were away from the bus during the trip, and replenished our ice box with drinks as necessary. Kumud got us to all the major sites and cities with ease and organised knowledgeable local guides for us on arrival.  Changes to our travel arrangements on our return North from Kerala, required a rapid transfer time to the International Terminal. We were very fortunate with our choice of tour company, and I would recommend them 100%. We were met at the airport by Amit (Bunty's younger brother), and we were given excellent service throughout our holiday. Amit is a very well presented, personable young man, and is a safe and courteous driver. (If it's your first trip to India, you might find the roads an interesting experience!) It was cold, foggy, and streets were full of trucks, most of them without lights. Our driver, Bunty's good friend Deepak has great experience on the road and we felt safe. In Bangalore, the drivers were all very impatient, and they would constantly speed up and slow down to intimidate slow vehicles to move aside. When we got to Delhi, the cab ride to our hotel was driven so fast that it felt like it might tip over on turns, and the driver was so absent minded he kept almost running into things. He also could not find our hotel, even though we gave him an address, and started yelling at us. So when Amit picked us up the next morning, it was very relieving. He drives very steady and safe, but knows how to get around obstacles when they come. That might not seem important, but on those long trips, it means a lot to have a good driver that is skilled enough that you can trust their driving. The ride was relaxing, and we could enjoy the sights along the way.  But Amit was not just our driver. He helped out in many ways along the way. We had not booked hotels along the way, and so he helped us find good hotels to stay at. He used contacts throughout the trip to make suggestion that were always very helpful to us. When we got to public attractions, he warned us about the guides and other ways we might get taken advantage. We had already learned about many of these things from our stay in Bengaluru, where a guide had already taken advantage of our time and money, but Amit was the first person to actually warn us about them.  Everything about the trip went very well, and we really owe Amit our greatest appreciation. Amit is an excellent and experienced driver and we felt safe all the time in the sometimes mad traffic of India. What we appreciated very much is the fact that Amit never pressured us to visit touristy shops etc (what you sometimes hear about other drivers who do that to get commission). Also, he is very knowlegeable and could give us good information regarding the various places we visited. Especially on our trip from Jodhpur to Udaipur, he recommended to visit 2 places that we had not put on our agenda (Ranakpur temple & Kumbalgarh fort) and it was very much worth it. Everything was easy for him and with him, and we called him the 'no problem man' as everything was 'no problem' for him! All in all it was more like travelling with a friend than with a driver and we can definitely recommend him to other visitors coming to India!  We were so happy and satisfied with his service that we booked him again when we came to Delhi and Agra for another visit in February 2008. He had booked train tickets for us from Varanasi (we flew there from Delhi for 1 night) to Agra and was waiting for us at the train station very early in the morning when we arrived in Agra. The Taj Mahal was of course beautiful, but what really made the sudden journey and our whole experience of India alight and transcendent was, strange to say, hurtling through dangerously crowded towns and obstacle-filled country roads as if we were guided by nothing less than pure and enveloping intent.  For this to be true, I know that it must have been due to a strong combination of Bunty's uncommon driving skill, unforced sureness and clued-in personal philosophy.
